A Turnkey, Safe, and High-Standard Living and Operations Infrastructure for the Mining Sector

Located in the Develi district of Kayseri in Türkiye’s Central Anatolia Region, the Öksüt Gold Mine is one of the country’s key mining investments. Within this scope, the Administrative Staff Accommodation and Management Camp designed to support the mine’s administrative and operational requirements was delivered by Dorce under a turnkey EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) model.

The project client is Öksüt Madencilik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., a subsidiary of Centerra Gold Inc. The project was planned and implemented in line with the high safety, environmental sensitivity, and operational continuity requirements of a modern mining operation.

An Integrated Camp Concept for Mining Sites

The Öksüt Gold Mine Accommodation Camp was designed not only as a residential facility but as an integrated living and working campus, combining administrative, technical, and support functions within a single site. This approach maximized the comfort, safety, and productivity of administrative staff working on-site.

Structural Systems and Construction Technologies

The project utilized a hybrid structural model, combining Light Gauge Steel Frame (LGSF) buildings with Pre-Engineered Heavy Steel Structures. This system provided the mining project with the essential advantages of rapid construction, high structural durability, and long-term operational performance.

Located on 28,600 m² of site area with 5,153 m² of enclosed building space, the camp progressed in line with the planned schedule following site handover to Dorce in April 2019, and was completed and commissioned in June 2020.

EPC Scope of Works

Dorce managed the entire lifecycle of the project under an end-to-end EPC approach. The scope included:

• Engineering and implementation design
• Light steel and heavy steel superstructure production
• Infrastructure and site works
• Administrative campus and office buildings
• Accommodation facilities
• Cyanide and reagent storage buildings
• Security gates, access control, and public relations building
• Electrical and mechanical infrastructure systems
• Supply of furniture and technical equipment
• Testing, commissioning, and performance verification

All structures were designed and built in accordance with mining-sector safety and environmental standards.

A Safe, Controlled, and Operational Camp Environment

Key issues such as hazardous chemical storage and site security, which are critical in gold mining operations, were addressed through specialized engineering solutions. Cyanide and reagent storage facilities were constructed in compliance with relevant international standards, while secure access control and monitoring systems were implemented across the camp.
