A Safe, Sensitive, and Adaptive Educational Facility for Children with Special Needs

The Special Autism School Building Project, implemented in the Gölbaşı district of Ankara for Ceceli Education Services Inc., is a qualified reference project demonstrating DORÇE’s expertise in special education facilities, the Design & Build model, and light gauge steel (Light Gauge Steel Frame – LGSF) construction technologies.

With a total construction area of 1,100 m², the project was completed and commissioned within a short timeframe between July and August 2013.

An Architectural Approach Carefully Designed for Children with Special Needs

The project was designed by taking into account the educational needs of children on the autism spectrum, aiming to create a safe and controlled learning environment that supports spatial perception, reduces stress and sensory overload, and enhances comfort. During the planning process, simple spatial layouts, clear circulation paths, and user-friendly interior organization were prioritized.

This approach aims to help children adapt more easily to the educational process and to support learning motivation.

Safety and Durability with Light Gauge Steel (LGSF) Construction Technology

The prefabricated modular light gauge steel structural system used in the project provides high safety standards, earthquake resistance, and controlled construction advantages that are critical for special education facilities. Thanks to factory-produced structural components, fast and error-free on-site assembly was achieved.

Child Safety and Educational Environment Standards

The Special Autism School Building incorporates detailed solutions developed with child safety as a core principle. Controlled entry and exit points, safe circulation areas, and building components suitable for educational environments were implemented. All design and construction processes were carried out in line with special education standards and child-focused safety criteria.

Integrated and Fast Delivery with the Design & Build Model

Within the scope of the project, DORÇE managed design, engineering, production, and superstructure construction processes under a single Design & Build contract. Thanks to this integrated approach, the project was completed in a short time and to high quality standards.
