In 2007, an offshore worker accommodation camp was implemented by DORÇE using demountable container systems to support offshore oil and gas operations carried out at the Djeytun field in the Caspian Sea, located in the Balkanabat region of Turkmenistan.

In 2007, to support offshore oil and gas operations conducted at the Djeytun field in the Caspian Sea within Turkmenistan’s Balkanabat region, a worker accommodation camp was realized by DORÇE using demountable modular container systems. The implementation was planned and completed in line with the high engineering, safety, and operational continuity requirements demanded by offshore energy projects.

Strategic Camp Solution for Offshore Energy Operations

Offshore oil and gas platforms are advanced engineering facilities that encompass the exploration, production, processing, storage, and pipeline transmission of hydrocarbon resources located beneath subsea rock formations. In the Caspian Sea, the LAM-B offshore platform, positioned at Turkmenistan’s Djeytun field, operates as a strategic energy infrastructure established for production, preliminary crude oil treatment, and pipeline transmission of oil.

Within this context, the offshore worker accommodation camp was designed to safely, orderly, and sustainably meet the accommodation and daily living needs of technical personnel working on site.

Camp Integration Compatible with EPIC (Engineering, Procurement, Installation, Commissioning) Scope

The activities carried out at the Djeytun field were executed under an EPIC approach, covering project management, basic and detailed engineering designs, deck panel fabrication, procurement of all platform components including process equipment, HAZOP analyses, installation, and pre-commissioning processes. The offshore worker accommodation camp was positioned as a complementary component supporting this integrated operational structure.

Demountable Container-Based Camp Settlement Located in Balkanabat

The worker accommodation camp was located in the Balkanabat region of Turkmenistan and constructed using modular demountable container units. With an approximate size of 700 m² and a total built-up area of 677.82 m², the camp settlement was planned in line with the rapid installation, dismantling capability, and logistical flexibility required for offshore energy projects.

The camp units were manufactured to be corrosion-resistant, in accordance with DORÇE’s offshore-specific technical specifications and field experience, and were designed to fully comply with the harsh environmental and climatic conditions of the Caspian Sea basin.

Technical Scope and Implementation Approach

Within the scope of the implementation, DORÇE undertook all technical processes, including the supply of demountable container units as well as electrical, mechanical, and communication infrastructure systems. Assembly and on-site works were carried out meticulously in accordance with the high safety standards, operational continuity, and performance criteria required by offshore operations.

The project was executed under a Construction contract model; the client was Petro Gaz FZE, while the field owner was Dragon Oil. The implementation was successfully completed in June 2007.

Durable Living Facilities for Offshore and Oil & Gas Sector

Camp solutions used in offshore regions such as the Caspian Sea, which are characterized by high corrosion risk and harsh climatic conditions, require a specialized engineering approach beyond standard onshore applications. The camp settlement developed by DORÇE provides a long-lasting, safe, and operationally sustainable living environment, specifically designed for offshore oil and gas activities.

A Strong Reference for Offshore Energy Projects

The Djeytun Field Offshore Worker Accommodation Camp stands as a strong reference demonstrating DORÇE’s advanced engineering capabilities and field experience in the areas of offshore energy projects, demountable container camp systems, corrosion-resistant solutions, and integrated living facilities for oil and gas fields. This project clearly illustrates that DORÇE is an international ConTech company capable of delivering sector-specific solutions for the energy industry in offshore and harsh environmental conditions.
