Portable Modular Steel Structures for the Oil and Gas Sector

The Skid-Mounted Accommodation and Office Units Project, implemented in Türkiye for Turkish Petroleum International Inc. (TPIC), is an important reference showcasing DORÇE’s portable modular steel building solutions developed for harsh site conditions and time-critical energy projects. The project was completed on a turnkey basis under the Design & Build model, covering design, engineering, manufacturing, installation, and delivery processes.

Consisting of 3 units with a total built-up area of 43.2 m², the project was successfully completed and commissioned within a short timeframe between September and December 2024.

High Mobility and Operational Flexibility with Skid-Mounted Container System

The skid-mounted container system used in the project allows the units to be positioned quickly and safely on site without the need for foundations. Thanks to the steel skid base infrastructure, the containers can be easily transported by crane or forklift and relocated to different site locations without dismantling.

This system offers high mobility and flexible usage advantages, particularly for:

Remote and hard-to-access site conditions
Oil and gas exploration and production sites
Energy projects and temporary settlements

Fast and Integrated Delivery under the Design & Build Model

Within the scope of the project, DORÇE managed the design, engineering, manufacturing, and installation processes in an integrated manner at its own production facilities. The skid-mounted container units were manufactured as ready-to-use (plug-and-play) systems and delivered to the site accordingly. This approach enabled rapid commissioning with minimal on-site labor and ensured project completion within the planned schedule.

The skid-mounted container units were designed to be functional and efficient for both accommodation and office use. Interior layouts were planned with consideration for personnel comfort, operational continuity, and long-term usage requirements. The structures are equipped with durable, low-maintenance, and long-lasting building components.
