In 2002, at the Jalu field located in the Sirka region of Libya, a turnkey worker accommodation camp was implemented by DORÇE under a Design & Build model using trailer-mounted container systems.

The Jalu Sirka Worker Accommodation Camp was developed to meet the housing and daily living needs of personnel working on site within the scope of industrial and energy activities in Libya. The project was carried out for TML Corporation, with Marubeni Corporation as the end user. DORÇE managed the entire process end-to-end under a Design & Build approach.

Planned by taking into account site conditions and climatic constraints, the camp settlement was implemented using trailer-mounted container systems that are infrastructure-independent, portable, and rapidly deployable.

Integrated Camp Solution with Trailer-Mounted Container Systems

The trailer-mounted container units used within the project were specially designed to provide mobility and operational flexibility. The containers were positioned on trailer chassis and equipped with an integrated water tank on the upper section, as well as a wastewater tank and generator system mounted on the lower chassis. This configuration enabled the camp to operate independently without the need for external infrastructure.

Functional Camp Settlement with Modular Steel Systems

The camp settlement was formed using modular steel systems and covers a total area of 1,848 m². In addition to worker accommodation units, kitchen and life-support areas were planned to ensure uninterrupted support for site operations. The trailer-mounted accommodation units were positioned on site in a short time and made ready for use.

Technical Scope and Turnkey Services

Within the scope of implementation, DORÇE undertook all technical processes in full. The trailer-mounted container units were delivered including installation and application supervision, electrical and mechanical works, air conditioning systems, furniture, kitchen equipment, and technical installations. This turnkey approach ensured rapid commissioning and operational continuity on site.

Implementation Period

The Jalu Sirka Worker Accommodation Camp works were successfully completed between March 2002 and June 2002. This fast-track implementation clearly demonstrated DORÇE’s expertise in site organization and mobile camp solutions.

Mobile Camp Approach for Energy and Industrial Activities

This implementation in Libya represents a successful example of mobile worker accommodation camp solutions developed for energy and industrial activities. Thanks to the trailer-mounted container systems, the camp gained the ability to be relocated to different sites and reused as needed.
