In this comprehensive project simultaneously implemented across various regions of Iraq, DORÇE successfully completed the construction of school buildings, health centers, and multi-purpose social facilities using a prefabricated modular building system under the clientship of UNICEF. Delivered concurrently in 12 separate locations, this project stands as a strategic reference that strongly demonstrates DORÇE’s advanced engineering organization, multi-site project management capability, and competence in international project coordination.

This project was designed not merely as a construction program, but as an integrated social infrastructure solution developed to provide rapid access to education, healthcare, and social services in post-crisis regions.

An Integrated Social Campus Approach in Erbil, Dohuk, and Sulaymaniyah

Implemented primarily in Erbil, Dohuk, and Sulaymaniyah along with other regional settlements, the Schools, Health Centers, and Multi-Purpose Halls Project represents an integrated infrastructure model addressing educational, healthcare, and community needs within a single campus approach. The project consists of permanent buildings designed with a long-term usage perspective, directly supporting daily community life and contributing to social recovery.

While the educational facilities ensured that children could access learning in safe and healthy environments, the health centers enabled uninterrupted delivery of essential medical services. Meanwhile, the multi-purpose halls were designed as flexible and multi-functional spaces to host social events, training programs, and community gatherings.

A High-Capacity Building Program Completed in Record Time

Located within a total site development area of approximately 25,000 m² and offering 5,000 m² of closed building space, the project was completed and commissioned within a remarkably short period between August 2003 and January 2004. Despite challenging geographical conditions, infrastructure constraints, and security-related risks, DORÇE successfully managed production, logistics, shipment, and installation processes in a synchronized and controlled manner.

This rapid delivery performance clearly demonstrates DORÇE’s reliability as a trusted solution partner for humanitarian aid, education sector projects, and social infrastructure programs where urgent needs are critical.

Durable and Long-Life Structures with Light Gauge Steel (LGSF) Technology

Light Gauge Steel Frame (LGSF) Building Technology was selected for this project considering Iraq’s harsh climate, high temperatures, and infrastructure limitations. Factory-produced panelized steel systems significantly reduced on-site installation time while ensuring consistent production quality to international standards.

The LGSF structural system offered superior advantages including high seismic resistance, climate adaptability, low maintenance needs, and long-term performance, making it an ideal solution particularly for education and healthcare facilities. As a result, the buildings were delivered not only quickly but also as permanent, safe, and resilient infrastructure assets.

Turnkey Project Management and Comprehensive Technical Services

Within the scope of this project, DORÇE delivered not only the superstructure works but also the entire infrastructure and technical systems under a turnkey project management model. Beginning with design and engineering, the scope covered superstructure construction, infrastructure works, electrical and mechanical installations, HVAC systems, potable and wastewater networks, generator and fuel systems, logistics, transportation, assembly, and landscaping.

Thanks to this integrated approach, all facilities were delivered to site fully functional, operationally ready, and sustainable. The project was managed in full compliance with the expectations of international organizations in terms of quality, transparency, and operational discipline.

DORÇE Reliability in Projects for International Organizations and Humanitarian Programs

This project implemented for UNICEF in Iraq has strengthened DORÇE’s position as a trusted contractor for United Nations agencies, humanitarian programs, and public infrastructure investments. With its rapid mobilization capability, engineering discipline, and sustainable building solutions, DORÇE continues to contribute to the enhancement of education, healthcare, and social service infrastructure in crisis-affected regions.

This project clearly demonstrates that DORÇE is not only a building manufacturer, but also a global engineering and production company delivering integrated, durable, and human-focused solutions for education, healthcare, and social service needs.
