An Integrated EPC Solution for Türkiye’s Transportation Infrastructure

The Vehicle Inspection Stations Project in Türkiye is a large-scale public infrastructure investment implemented to strengthen the country’s national transportation infrastructure, standardize vehicle inspection processes, and enhance road safety. The project was carried out by DORÇE for TÜVTÜRK A.Ş. and was completed on a turnkey basis, including infrastructure and superstructure works, comprising a total of 34 vehicle inspection stations across 30 cities nationwide.

Within the scope of this project, DORÇE managed the engineering, infrastructure, superstructure, and landscaping processes under the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) model through an integrated approach, ensuring the establishment of a high-standard inspection infrastructure at the national level. The project clearly demonstrates DORÇE’s capability to deliver simultaneous site management and operational continuity in multi-location infrastructure projects.

Standardized and Durable Facilities Using Pre-Engineered Heavy Steel (PEB) Technology

All vehicle inspection stations constructed under the project were realized using the Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) heavy steel system, which stands out for its suitability for intensive use and heavy equipment operations. Completed with a total enclosed area of 23,814 m² and a site area of 187,000 m², these facilities provide the following advantages:

Fast Construction
Rapid installation and commissioning were achieved through off-site prefabrication and fast on-site assembly.

High Durability
Long-lasting structural strength suitable for heavy vehicle traffic and intensive equipment usage was ensured.

Functional Planning
Vehicle inspection lanes, technical areas, and support units were designed with a focus on operational efficiency.

National Standardization
Consistent quality, performance, and safety standards were applied across all stations constructed in different cities.

Simultaneous EPC Project Management Across 30 Cities

One of the key success factors of the project was the ability to manage a multi-location construction process simultaneously across 30 different cities in Türkiye. Through strong field organization, detailed logistics planning, and an integrated project management approach, DORÇE successfully completed all vehicle inspection stations in line with the planned schedule between August 2007 and February 2009.

In addition to infrastructure and superstructure works, landscaping activities were also undertaken by DORÇE, and the facilities were delivered fully ready for operation.

A Strong Reference for Türkiye’s Transportation and Inspection Infrastructure

The Vehicle Inspection Stations Project in Türkiye stands as a significant reference confirming DORÇE’s engineering strength and EPC project capabilities in the fields of transportation infrastructure, public service facilities, and heavy steel industrial structures. The project contributed to the establishment of a standardized vehicle inspection infrastructure at the national level and offers a long-term, sustainable solution model.
